iLYF-Charitable trust and its members are dedicated to the cause of building and nurturing a community that encourages a confluence of knowledge and ideas and contribute to India’s progress.
We are driven by our desire to play a part in building a healthy, prosperous nation that is looked upon for inspiration and none of this can be achieved without the support of our members around the world. Our charitable trust, under the aegis of our Office Bearers and Trustees, has consistently worked with our members to conduct programmes aimed at benefitting students in schools and colleges across the country, while blood donation and awareness camps are conducted to help those in dire need.
ILYF Charitable Trust is a trust registered under the Indian Trust Act and has been granted 12AA & 80 G. The Trust has been established by ILYFers with an intent to serve the society at large.
The Trust has identified certain areas such as Skill development, Girl Child Education, Student Initiative Programs, Tree Plantation, Blood Donation Camps, Offering relief materials during natural calamities, etc.
- The Trust has established the first Skill Development centre at Chitradurga in the year ……., the Trust has tied up with Unnati foundation for the maintenance and operations. The centre has been fully furnished and provided with computers. More than 800 Students have completed the programs and have successfully been placed. Students from the nearby villages and towns are given an opportunity to skill themselves and get the appropriate training in these centres.
- The Trust has established the second Skill Development centre at Harihara in the year ……., the Trust has tied up with Unnati foundation for the maintenance and operations. The centre has been fully furnished and provided with computers. The local Member of the Legislative Assembly Shri. has provided us the place free of cost to run the centre. More than1,300 Students have completed the programs and have successfully been placed. Students from the nearby villages and towns are given an opportunity to skill themselves and get the appropriate training in these centres.
Student Initiative Programs:
- The Trust conducts student initiative programs across the state and particularly the rural areas. The program is designed to have prominent guest speakers who guide the students and offer career counselling. Panel Speakers are also roped who are achievers in their professions and through a open house session the students get to interact with these speakers on their respective careers. Students are also encouraged to take up professional, technical courses alongwith UPSC and KPSC exams. The Trust has conducted many such programs in the colleges and schools at Chitradurga, Tumkur, Bangalore, etc.
The trust has taken up tree plantation at Siddaganaga mutt, Tumkur by planting 110 trees to mark the 110th birthday of Shri Shivakumara Swamiji and the first sapling was planted by the Later Swamiji himself. More than 75 % of the sapling have now become full grown trees, the Trust has ensured that the saplings were protected with tree guards and have watered the saplings for 3-4 years.
